Week of January 20

Yesterday, the fourth grade had a spelling bee. I noticed a girl named Nikole was in the lead. But, she spelled a word wrong. Other people did, too. I think she did a really good job. Miss Finley gave some hard words that I couldn't spell! The champion was Kelly. She did a good job, too! Congratulations, Kelly!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            By Nevaeh Delrossi

Last week in science/S.T.E.M. we were making low decimals and high decimals sounds. We also made some new instruments to amplify or make the noise louder.  In Music we got to play some new instruments. We also learned about a new person in Music.
At reading Phillip and I learned about the continental divide with Mrs. Anderson. She told her if the snow melts on the eastern side of North America, it will go into the Atlantic Ocean. Snow melt on the western part of the United States goes into the Pacific Ocean.
During Math, we learned about long division. It was hard for some of us, but we figured out a way to solve the problems.
We learned about new websites to get books in library. It is a good way to get new books. In Art we made pictures of our hands to make our hand pop up like 3 dimensional. We made designs outside our hands to wow other people.
On Sunday, my family went to a party. My dad had a part to play in the party. He played the harmonica and a funny part. I played many games like Twister and made rainbow loom bracelets. The theme of the party was casino, which is short for cards.
I had lots of fun and we have been busy.

Sincerely,
Swami

The firstr week of January and right before vacation

Two weeks ago was PJ day. We had waffles for breakfast, and we made a mouse craft. Everyone
had great PJ's that day. So far it was the best day EVER! Then we had snack. We all went to
the Christmas ceremony. Then the whole school sang Christmas carols. When we all got back
we had a book swap. I bet everybody got good or PERFECT books. Then it was time to go home.
It was so much fun, wasn't it?
