On Thursday, October 2, the third graders spent the day walking around Dover. Our Dover walk was amazing. We visited Cocheco Cotton Mill, Woodman Institute Museum, Henry Law Park, and Pinehill Cemetery. At the Woodman Institute there was a 2 headed snake, a four-legged chicken, and a bear with a top hat. The Garrison at the museum had a bowl that you mash corn in, and I got to mash the corn. We walked around Pinehill Cemetery and ate snack there. I thought the bride who didn't marry Henry Law was interesting. We had lunch and played at Henry Law Park. At the mill we saw cotton under the staircase, and some glass cases with things that were used when the cotton mill was used. We walked back to the school. On our way to the room we got a popsicle. We talked about our day while we ate it. We had an awesome day!
